Recommendations for the Submission of Academic
Manuscripts Scope
The journal accepts original scholarly and analytical materials on the following topics:
Contemporary international relations and global politics
International legal regulation of various aspects of public and state affairs
Development of the world economy and international economic relations
Current issues of the foreign policy of Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and the international community
Research articles
Analytical articles
Literature reviews
Reviews of scholarly publications
Theoretical, methodological, and thematic overviews
Authorship criteria and responsibility
The author of a study must:
Make a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the study, to the analysis or interpretation of data, or to the creation of new software used in the work.
Draft the manuscript text or critically revise it in terms of the relevance and substance of the material.
Approve the final version of the manuscript submitted for publication.
Take responsibility for all aspects of the work and ensure appropriate investigation and resolution of issues related to the accuracy or integrity of the study.
Role of the corresponding author
The corresponding author acts on behalf of all co-authors and is responsible for:
Ensuring that all authors have approved the manuscript and the order of authorship.
Managing all correspondence between the journal and all co-authors before and after publication.
Including in the manuscript all necessary disclosures, declarations, and statements on data transparency from all authors.
Author contribution statement
Authors should include in the manuscript a responsibility statement specifying the contribution of each author.
Manuscript preparation and submission format
Submission is carried out via the email address indicated on the journal website: https://international-affairs.uz/
Recommended length: minimum 5,000 and maximum 8,000 words.
Required file formats: DOC or DOCX.
Font: Verdana, size 11 pt, line spacing 1.1, standard margins.
Page format: A4 (297 × 210 mm).
Preferred language of submission: English.
Text formatting requirements
Endnotes: Verdana, 9 pt.
Bibliography: Verdana, 10 pt.
The reference list must be formatted according to APA style.
It is not permitted to list several sources under a single reference number.
Author information
The author must provide the following information (Verdana, 12 pt):
Article title
Full first name, last name, and initials of the author
ORCID ID or Scopus ID (must be active and verifiable)
Academic or professional affiliation
Article structure
The article structure includes:
Abstract — at least 300 words
Keywords — at least 7–8 words
Literature review forming the basis of the study
Methodology and scope of the research
Main research hypothesis — clearly formulated
Conclusion
Bibliography
Peer review process
All manuscripts are subject to mandatory double-blind peer review by qualified academic reviewers in accordance with the topic and scope of the article.
The manuscript is anonymized for double-blind review.
The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
Plagiarism
The originality and uniqueness of the article must not contain any hint of unethical borrowing from other sources.
Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
AI ethics
AI cannot be listed among the authors; only the authors themselves are responsible for the content.
Use of AI beyond language editing is briefly described in the “Methods” section.
“AI-assisted language editing” (improving grammar, style, readability, and formatting of text written by the authors) is permitted without mandatory disclosure, provided no new substantive content is created and the authors’ ideas are not distorted.
Generative AI images are not accepted; exceptions are to be agreed with the editorial office and indicated in captions.
Exceptions are allowed only in strictly limited cases:
Visual materials that are directly the subject of research in works on AI, which are considered individually.
Use of specialized AI tools trained on verifiable scholarly datasets, subject to strict compliance with authorship and ethical requirements.
Citation ethics
Excessive self-citation is unacceptable.
Citation cartels and reciprocal citation agreements are regarded as citation manipulation and are excluded.
Before submission, please ensure that:
All co-authors have read and approved the final version of the manuscript.
All required sections are completed in accordance with the language of the article.
ORCID IDs are active and correctly linked.
All necessary disclosures and declarations have been provided.
References are formatted in accordance with APA Style.
