ENGAGING AFGHANISTAN IN THE REGIONAL INTEGRATION: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Abstract:

This article examines the strategies of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the context of Afghanistan's integration into interregional economic and infrastructure projects in Central Asia. It explores both countries' political and economic approaches and their involvement in cross-border initiatives such as transportation corridors, energy cooperation, and water management projects. Particular attention is given to the factors that facilitate or hinder Afghanistan's participation in regional integration processes. The study highlights the role of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan as key connectors between Afghanistan and the broader Central Asian region while assessing the prospects for further collaboration.
