Engagement of Afghanistan in the Central Asian Integration: comparative analysis of the regional countries (6 / 2025 №112))

Abstract:

This article examines the strategies of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in the context of Afghanistan's integration into regional economic and infrastructure projects in Central Asia. It explores the political and economic approaches of both countries, their involvement in cross-border initiatives such as transportation corridors, energy cooperation, and water management projects. Particular attention is given to the factors that facilitate or hinder Afghanistan's participation in regional integration processes. The study highlights the role of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan as key connectors between Afghanistan and the broader Central Asian region while assessing the prospects for further collaboration.
